Sutras for the Untethered #1, 2021
Ink and pencil on paper
21"x28" (30"x40" matted)

This drawing on paper is from a series titled, Sutras for the Untethered. These drawings emerged from my interest in knots- mechanically, as functional tools, and symbolically as interconnections of thoughts. The Buddhist Sutras are texts that weave connections of thought and action. Sutra or “thread” (of thought) is akin to suere, Latin “to sew”.
